The 113-mile (181-kilometer) drive on Highway 1 from mainland Florida to Key West induces sensory overload. Besides the natural beauty along the route—tidal flats, teal waters dotted by distant islands—the so-called Overseas Highway awes you in its own right as an engineering marvel. Its concrete stretches across impossible expanses of water, the Atlantic spreading out to the left, the Gulf to the right. (Source: National Geographic)

This is an amazing drive, one of my favorite and something everyone should experience, and of course the end destination,Key West, is one of my favorite places in the world...if you haven't been you seriously need to go!!!!!
Wow! It really is incredible that they were able to make such a marvellous structure. Hope there will be more of these wonderful structures all around the world to make travelling more delightful and convenient.

This is one of the destinations that I haven't tried. It would be a great sight to see. Amazing structure that stretches a very long way.

I haven't been there yet but I was planning to for quite a while already. The photos are incredible with all the scenic beauties and great engineering marvels. I wouldn't miss that for anything but in the right time. :)
