Former state Sen. Dave Zien made history after riding one million miles on a Harley-Davidon motorcycle.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports on the controversy over where the famous million-mile bike should be displayed.

Should the bike go to the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame or the state of Wisconsin?

According to the story, the bike was sent to Sturgis because that museum featured a display on Zien and had inducted him into its hall of fame, but the Wisconsin Historical Museum wanted to have the bike.

Over the Harley's million mile journey, the bike's engine was replaced twice and overhauled or refurbished nine times, and went through 105 rear tires and nine seats.
