The Solar Flyer Is The First Solar-Powered Motorcycle
The Solar Flyer, constructed by Phoenix, Arizona resident Richard Gryzch, is an electric motorcycle that uses the sun instead of an electrical outlet to charge its batteries.
The Flyer's electric motor makes a sound that rivals its gas-drinking peers for attention, described as sounding like "a small jet".
According to a story on ABC 15 News in Phoenix, Gryzch took about two years to build his solar-powered bike that can get up to 90 miles per hour and has a range of about 50 miles.
