Victory Motorcycles Celebrates 10 Years With Special Edition Victory Vision Bike

Victory Motorcycles celebrates their tenth anniversary with a new line of bikes for 2009, including a special 10th Anniversary Victory Vision.


According to the Victory Motorcycles site, the Victory Vision 10th Anniversary model is limited to only 100 bikes and is described as "purest expression of a company that is unafraid, one with a relentless desire to revolutionize the American motorcycle-and the riding experience along with it."

Details and accessories on the 10th Anniversary Victory Vision include a Saddlebag anniversary decal, exclusive 10th Anniversary Badging, and Victory TourTech GPS.

The Victory Motorcycles site also features a ten year time line of innovation and history of the company.

Indian Motorcycle Homepage Features Images Of New Indian Models

The Indian Motorcycle homepage features images of the long-awaited new models for the relaunch of the Indian Motorcycle brand.

The images are artist renderings, so the new bikes might look different when they go on sale. The images do indicate the continuation of Indian's classic style.

Here are images of Indian's Chief Standard.


Features on the Indian Chief Standard include a chromed tear drop halogen headlamp, black and polished engine with chrome covers, chromed spoke wheels, an air-cooled power Plus 105ci engine, 5.5 gallon fuel tank, Brembo brake system with dual floating rotors and 4 piston calipers in the front and single floating rotor and two piston caliper in the rear.

Volkswagen could purchase a motorcycle manufacturer

Could Volkswagen, Europe's largest car company, get into the motorcycle business?

According to Reuters, Volkswagen Chairman Ferdinand Piech is quoted by German magazine Stern that he would like a "a small, valuable motorcycle manufacturer."

What kind of motorcycle company might Volkswagen want to buy? Piech says he regrets not buying Ducati in 1985 when the Italian bike company was in trouble.

Indian motorcycle offers jackets and apparel before the bikes


Indian Motorcycle announced recently that the re-introduction of the Indian brand has been delayed till 2008. You can't buy and Indian Motorcycle till mid 2008, but riders will be able to buy Indian jackets and apparel.

DealerNews.com reports that Indian is releasing a line of apparel in January 2008 and is breaking ground on 50 new dealerships.

The first Indian dealership will be set up in Lowell, North Carolina. The Shelby Star reports that the new Indian Dealership will be. “A landmark with profound design.”

Indian is already accepting pre-orders on new bikes with a $1000 deposit.
