Ferrari Motorcycle Up For Auction Features Official Ferrari Chassis Number



Ferrari is not in the motorcycle business. According to Autoblog.com, some custom cycle builders have decided to make their own.


This particular Ferrari motorcycle was made by David Kay Engineering built in 1995, featuring a DOHC engine displacing 900cc with 105 horsepower at 8,800rpm.

While this a custom built bike, it does have an official Ferrari chassis number: SF-01M.


This is not the only bike to feature the Ferrari name. Autoblog.com reports that Arlen Ness built another Ferrari-styled bike that was part of an recent exhibit.

The Ferrari bike is up for auction till the 20th, where it is expected to fetch the equivalent of $300,000 in U.S. dollars.
